Common Questions
Repair FAQ
What brands of fiber optic equipment do you repair?
We repair all major brands: Fujikura, Sumitomo, Signal Fire, INNO, Jilong, FiberFox, VeEX, EXFO, VIAVI, AFL, Anritsu, Yokogawa, and many others. If it's used in fiber optic field work, we can service it.
How much does a typical repair cost?
Diagnosis is always free — these are preliminary estimates only. Quick fixes (battery, screen, port, blade) typically run $200–$500. Standard repairs (electrodes, motors, calibration, laser diodes) run $500–$1,200. Major service (motor assembly, OTDR laser module, mainboard) runs $1,200–$3,500+. Final pricing depends on parts availability, brand, and complexity. You'll always get a written quote before any work starts.
Do you calibrate equipment after repair?
Yes. Every fiber optic test instrument we repair is recalibrated to manufacturer specifications before return. We provide a written calibration report with every repair.
Do you offer rush or emergency repair service?
Yes. Reactive maintenance crews can't wait — we offer expedited 48–72 hour turnaround for an additional rush fee. Call us at +1 (210) 847-4437 to arrange.
What if my equipment can't be repaired?
If we can't repair it economically, we'll tell you upfront and give you a fair trade-in credit toward a replacement from our shop. You only pay return shipping if you decline both repair and trade-in.
Do you repair non-fiber electronics too?
Yes. We repair industrial controllers, network hardware (switches, routers, OLTs, ONTs), transceivers, power supplies, battery packs, and custom electronics. Any circuit board, any complexity.
Ready to get it fixed?
